I was struck, again, by the difference of mannerisms Asians and Americans had, and how they attempt to copy each other's traditions in their respective films. But, as an Asian-American myself, I should be able to balance these two traditions, right?

Just something that struck me as I was watching these.

Sorry I haven't updated in so long. I was teaching pre-school at a summer day camp and got kind of caught up in all the stress of planning a fun experience for a bunch of three- and four-year-olds.

That was just too cheesy, wasn't it?

Yay!  ^^ Summer vacation has started!
So has the much anticipated show from SBS, Iljimae, starring Lee Jun Ki, Han Hyo Joo, Lee Young Ah, and Park Shi Hoo. I just watched the first episode, and my heart breaks for Lee Jun Ki's character. I will post a summary if requested.

Must go off and prepare for the summer!

Final exams are just around the corner......

Why, oh why, did people ever invent final exams?!

But we all have to them, for the sake of higher education.

I'll be studying.........

Well, I just started my first blog.

Well, nothing's happening, really.

Lee Myung Bak was inaugurated as the next South Korean president. He's pretty busy right now, seeing that his goal is to have all high schools be taught in English by the year 2010.

As a South Korean by blood and American by citizenship, I don't really understand the South Korean obsession to be just like America. The South Korean judicial system, too, is being switched to imitate the American court system in terms of trial; instead of the traditional three judges, a jury would determine the innocence--or the guilt--of the defendent.

However, I am just one person. I cannot really say for others.
